About PokeSaga

A story-driven Pixelmon server with custom gyms, a breeding and EV-training scene, and regular tournaments.

PokeSaga is a Pixelmon server that puts narrative and competitive depth at the centre of the Pokemon-in-Minecraft experience. On top of the Pixelmon mod's catching and battling, it adds a custom storyline and its own gym progression, so working through the server feels more like playing through a tailored Pokemon adventure than simply wandering a sandbox.

Like all Pixelmon servers, PokeSaga runs on a Forge modpack, so you install the matching Pixelmon client before connecting. Once inside, the server leans into the systems competitive Pokemon players care about: EV training areas to min-max stats, a breeding system for perfecting teams, custom Pokemon spawns to chase, and regular tournaments where those optimised teams actually get tested against other players.

If you want Pixelmon with structure, goals, and a battling community rather than a freeform catch-everything world, PokeSaga is built for that. Install the Pixelmon modpack, add the IP above, and start working through the gyms and the storyline toward competitive play.

PokeSaga is a modded server on Minecraft Java Edition. It typically runs 200 - 1,000 players online and supports Minecraft version 1.16.5 (Forge).

What a Modded Server Is

modded

Modded servers run a modpack that adds new mechanics, mobs, dimensions, or whole systems on top of base Minecraft, which means you usually install matching mods before connecting.

Playing modded multiplayer means installing the correct modpack (most often on a Forge client) and then connecting, because the server and client must run the same mods. Once in, the experience can range from a full RPG or Pokemon game to a brutal survival overhaul, depending on the pack. The setup step is the price of admission for content far beyond vanilla Minecraft.

What to Look For on a Server Like This

Tips for Playing on PokeSaga

  1. Install the exact modpack version the server lists before trying to connect, or you will be rejected.
  2. Use a launcher (such as the Forge or CurseForge launcher) to manage the modpack cleanly.
  3. Allocate enough RAM to your Minecraft client; heavy modpacks need more than vanilla.
  4. Read the pack's getting-started guide, since modded progression often differs completely from vanilla.
